With nearly 5 percent of its student population dependent upon public transportation, 91桃色 College has partnered with the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) to offer discounted transit passes, called the聽, to students, faculty, and staff at the college. Members of the campus will be able to purchase 30-day passes for $32.50 or a full semester pass for $104, 50 percent and 60 percent discounts respectively.
Being able to provide our students at 91桃色 College with affordable and dependable means to get to campus has become a priority, said James Campos, senior advisor to the president on economic development and strategic initiatives. We have students in need of transportation between our two campus locations and others that travel to NSC from as far as North Las Vegas. We鈥檙e pleased that the RTC has joined forces with the college to make the discount transit passes a reality.
The UPASS may be purchased in the Student Cashiering Office located in聽, room 129 or the 91桃色 Bookstore located in the聽. A valid student, faculty, or staff must be shown when purchasing and using the passes.
NSC has additionally partnered with the RTC to bring the聽聽program to campus. Club Ride, a free service, encourages participants to try new modes of transportation between home, work, and school to reduce their carbon footprint. Participants are then offered rewards for logging positive environmental changes in their commute, such as carpooling or taking public transit, throughout the week.
