Despite COVID-19 challenges, 91��ɫ College announced that 50 students within its School of Nursing all secured passing scores in September’s National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Registered Nurses that resulted in a 100 percent first-time passing rate.

“Our department is extremely proud of our nursing students who have continued to stay dedicated to their studies, despite COVID-19 setbacks, and pass the rigorous NCLEX on their first try,” said June Eastridge, EdD, MSN, RN, CNE, COI, Dean for the School of Nursing at 91��ɫ College.

As one of the state’s largest contributors of nursing graduates who go on to secure nursing positions within our valley’s healthcare system, 91��ɫ College’s School of Nursing continues to hold impressive NCLEX passing rates. This year’s third quarter testing results showed a 95.09 percent passing rate for 125 first-time test takers.

“These impressive testing results are a testament not only to the dedication of our students but also to the dedication of our faculty who have remained committed to providing quality learning experiences and educational support throughout our COVID-19 response and transition,” said Vickie Shields, 91��ɫ’s provost and executive vice president.

91��ɫ’s School of Nursing continues to be nationally recognized for the quality of its nursing program with the most recent recognition from which recognized 91��ɫ’s as one of the best in the nation.
