Welcome To The 91ÌÒÉ« Family

By partnering together, your student can find the success and opportunity they desire. We hope to cultivate your student both personally and professionally during their time at the College. We urge you to utilize this site in learning more about your student’s progression through college and the resources we have provided to help them be successful. Have more questions? Things to know about before applying to 91ÌÒÉ«

Admission requirments

First Time Freshmen High School GPA:

  • Cumulative, unweighted high school GPA of at leastÌý2.5

High School Courses:

  • English: Emphasis on composition, rhetoric, and American, English, and world literature (4 units)
  • Mathematics: Three units including at least two units of algebra 1 and higher level mathematics, chosen from second year algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, probability and statistics, and other advanced mathematics (3 units)
  • Natural Sciences:Ìý (lab or simulation) Including biology, chemistry or physics, with at least one year in laboratory science (2 units)
  • Social Science/Studies: Including world history and geography, US history, economics, government, or law (3 units)

GED recipients:

  • Test score range of 165-200 (Test date of January 2014-current)
    • If you have taken the GED before 2014, please send your test scores to the admission office for review)

HiSET recipients:

  • Test score range of 15 or higher

Orientation Programs

New Student Orientation (Mandatory)

New Student Orientation is a mandatory one-day program for all new first time students! During Orientation, your student will get registration details for classes, learn about the college’s academic expectations and student life policies, learn about financial aid, and meet with faculty from your program.ÌýClick here to learn more

First-Year Fest (Mandatory)

First Year Fest is a mandatory event for all incoming first year students. During this event you will make connections with fellow first year scorpions, engage with student support services, and gain knowledge that will keep you motivated to begin your first year at 91ÌÒÉ«! You will learn more about this event at New Student Orientation

Newly Admitted Scorpions (Strongly Recommended)

The Scorpion Preview Day is exclusively for First Year Students who have beenÌýAcceptedÌýfor the Fall and Summer semesters. This event providesÌýAcceptedÌýFirst Year StudentsÌýand their parents/guardians the opportunity to connect with our faculty, clubs and organizations, and experience a tour of our dynamic modern campus. Check your email for details on the date and time.

Registration

At 91ÌÒÉ« we want to do everything we can to put you on a pathway to success.Ìý For fall admits, Academic Advisors will create your first semester schedule that aligns with your declared major and any prior earned credit. You will be provided this schedule once you attend New Student Orientation. If the schedule created for you does not work due to extenuating circumstances, you may petition the Academic Advising CenterÌýfor a schedule change.

For spring or summer admits, you will be required to meet with an Advisor one-on-one to create your first-year schedule. You may contact theÌýAcademic Advising CenterÌýto schedule an appointment with your Advisor.

FERPA Information

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) gives eligible students certain rights with respect to their education records. It provides that all records pertaining to a student that are maintained by the College District must be open to inspection by the student and may not be made available to any other person without the written authorization of the student.
